Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to the Money and Miracles podcast with me, emily King. We call ourselves Rich Women over here because we are all about living the rich woman life inside and out. We take the taboo out of talking money and we say yes to our desires. And each week I'll be bringing you a dose of money, mindset and relatable life stories so you can go out into the world and live your best freaking life. Let's do this, rich woman. Hello, welcome back to the Money Miracles podcast with myself, emily King.

Speaker 1:

So, fun fact, the first course I ever offered in my entire coaching career and this was back in 2015, was called the Get Unstuck program, because I felt that I had gotten myself unstuck. I was in a place in my life where, well before that program, I was in a place where I was sobbing myself to sleep every night, living in an apartment in Halifax with my then boyfriend now husband while he was going to school, and I was just trying to figure out my life, saying like what, what am I doing with my life? Right, I thought I had checked the boxes. I had gone to undergrad school, I had gone and then did my MBA and I figured, surely, checking these boxes, I'll know what to do with my life when it's all done. Right, because of course everybody has their life figured out at like what? Early 20s. Of course you're going to know what to do with your life then, wrong, I was at that time probably in the not probably but I was in the lowest low of my life and fortunately I got unstuck and unraveled from that place and it wasn't an overnight thing and it wasn't obvious. And when I say it wasn't obvious, what I mean is the steps weren't like. Nobody handed me a manual for figuring out your purpose in life. Right, there's no. I think.

Speaker 1:

So many of us want the manual, we want the answer to what it is we're supposed to do in like a neat, tidy, tied up in a bow kind of way. Right, and that's just not the way life works. God works with these subtle little nudges and whispers and if we can pick up on that subtleness, it can lead us to beautiful places. And so I, through some random google search, found a name of a life coach, and I didn't even know life coaches were a thing I wasn't. I wasn't searching like life coach. I forget what I was searching now, but I found this program and sign up for as a monthly program simply called hugs and laughter, and I was like, okay, I could use some hugs and laughter in my life.

Speaker 1:

And one thing led to another, where I was learning about the power of your mindset, and learning about that you have control control-ish, you know, it's not like we control everything, but you have the power to manifest your dreams. Really, like that's what I mean by control, like you have choice in the matter. And I like to say that life is just a story that you get to make up every single day. Really, the narrative is on you, the pen is in your hand and what happens to you? Maybe you can't change what happens to you, but you can change your story around it. That's in your control.

Speaker 1:

So, all this to say, when I discovered all this and learned all this and became obsessed with it, my life got unstuck, but it wasn't an overnight thing, you know, and none of it made sense in the in the moment. Like I. I moved home from Halifax, I started working at my dad's company in construction as a project manager and estimator. I was like, what the hell am I doing here? This is not my life purpose. But one thing led to another and next thing you know, because of that job I was able to get into real estate investing. I was able to have the extra time to get into coaching because I became so obsessed with it. I was like I have got to learn how to do this myself. And then one thing led to another and now I'm running my own coaching business full time and have made, you know, over seven figures doing so. So that's the, that's the magic of, of realizing that getting out of stuck isn't an overnight thing and just following the breadcrumbs.

Speaker 1:

So what I want to share with you are some insights of how you can lean into that feeling of stuck and really unravel it and start to find yourself unstuck, because stuck is a choice and it's a mindset of stuck right. When you think of stuck, what comes to mind? Is there a picture? Are there words or thoughts? Is there a feeling in your body that you get when you think I'm stuck Right? Is there a heaviness? And on the flip side of that, I just want you to experiment with saying to yourself I'm free, I'm free, and notice what you see when you say that to yourself, notice what you hear, notice what you feel in your body, sensations Completely different mindset, isn't it? So you just proved to yourself that stuck is a mindset. You have certain patterns in thinking and feeling than you do when you feel unstuck. So what are some practical tips I can give you today? Well, let's do this. First of all, I love this.

Speaker 1:

A friend of mine, leah, she said this to me one time when she was actually giving me a coaching session. This was a couple years ago. And at the time when she was actually giving me a coaching session, this was a couple years ago, and at the time I was feeling stuck. I can't even remember what it was about, but I was feeling stuck. And she said to me what if stuck is actually X marks the spot? Can you assume intelligence in the stuck? Can you get curious about the stuck and explore the stuck, knowing that there's insight waiting for you? I was like whoa, there's insight in the stuck. It's that X marks the spot. It's that place in your life. That's not saying please ignore me and run over me and just keep moving on with your life. It's saying, hey, can you look at me for a minute?

Speaker 1:

Because stuck, I assume for some of us, feels dark or looks dark, and darkness can be a beautiful thing, you know, if you think about stars in the night, if you think about dinner by candlelight. You know, my husband and I, when we got married, when we were on our honeymoon, we had dinner by candlelight on the beach and it was one of my most memorable experiences of the honeymoon. It was beautiful, but it was pitch dark out, which is candlelight and the stars, which is candlelight and the stars. When you think about being in the womb, that's one of the most precious places of all, where we're growing a human being in the darkness, in the womb. So there's a lot of intelligence that can be found in the darkness, but so many of us fight it, so many of us want to be impatient with it and just run from it right, but if you keep running from it, then the back of your mind, you're always going to be scared of it and what you resist persists.

Speaker 1:

So here's another question for you to ponder is what can you give attention to or nurture within yourself that might be looking for comfort right now? What can you give attention to or nurture within yourself that might be looking for comfort right now? Hmm, so and I don't want you to think your way through this answer. I want you to feel your way through it, because thinking will get you logical rationale. I want you to feel your way through this, feel what comes up and let give yourself that time and space until the feeling comes about, until that nudge, until that curiosity peaks and gives you some sort of answer. And two last things I want to leave you with for encouragement to start to shift.

Speaker 1:

This feeling of stuck is, first and foremost, this mantra, or this motto of it supports me to believe and know that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. It supports me to believe and know that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. Oof, and I wrote down that quote and I don't remember who said it, so I can't give credit. I apologize, but how freaking powerful is that. It supports me to believe and know that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. If you believed and knew this was exactly where you're meant to be, then what would change? What would you stop gripping? What could you release, what could you surrender? What could you lean into and also lean away from, lean away from your grip, lean away from your timeline, lean out and, last but not least, here's what I want you to feel into for yourself Is fill in the blank and, once again, don't overthink this flow. This is not. There's no right or wrong answer with this, it's just pen hitting the page. Or if you're just listening to this and want to kind of just list it out audibly to yourself, go for it. But you're going to answer this question.

Speaker 1:

I feel my spark when dot, dot, dot, anything at all. What gives you your spark? What gives you that sense of here I am? I feel my spark when, for example, I felt my spark today when I smelt the salt ocean air. I went for a walk outside and I could smell the salt air by the ocean. It was like instantly spark. I feel my spark when I move my body. I feel my spark when I tickle my little girl and she giggles. I feel my spark when I say grace before I eat a meal.

Speaker 1:

Right, that moment of gratitude, what is? What are those moments of spark for you? Because when we can lean into this is what gives me my spark. We can find our way out of stuck and back to ourselves and doing the things that bring us joy, happiness, miracles. Doing the things that bring us joy, happiness, miracles and abundance and the money. Because, you know, the front of my journal says the more fun I have, the more money I make. And I truly believe that the more fun I have, the more money I make, the more spark I am, the more alive I am, the more money I'm making, because I'm me, I'm not in judgment of me, I'm not feeling stuck, I'm not in fear, I'm me, fully me, the wonderful me, the worth full me, the beautiful me. So find that little spark within yourself, and it doesn't have to be a huge flame, it doesn't have to be a blowtorch, it could be just like a sparkler. You know, fun little things. You get to light and then find another sparkler or another candle and keep lighting more until the room is lit up again and you find yourself free.

Speaker 1:

Okay, before we wrap up, I want to pull a card for my money and miracles oracle card deck. I will link them up in the show notes below. It's a 30 deck, a 30 card deck, I should say, of beautiful messages around money and miracles for yourself. So I just shuffled the deck, let me just pull. Let's pull this one. Okay, what's this one say? It says my worth is a decision, not a vote. My worth is a decision, not a vote, and there's a bigger write-up on the back. I won't read it out right now, but take that with you my worth is a decision, not a vote. So we're not waiting for the external to validate us. We're not waiting for someone to deem us worthy and say, yeah, now you get to go do the thing. That is an internal thing and I think it lines up really nicely with this talk today about getting unstuck, finding that spark within and fostering it from within, not outside of yourself. So there we have it. Enjoy your day. Thank you for being here and bye for now.
