This is the last of our special three podcasts we were doing that we were experimenting with and having fun with in the month of June, where we were doing them live. Now, the last week of June, we had to postpone it because I got the stomach flu oh the worst. So I was out of commission for a few days and then the following week was catching up on work and then my daughter got sick. Emily King:Hello and welcome to the Money and Miracles podcast with me, emily King. We call ourselves Rich Women over here because we are all about living the rich woman life inside and out. We take the taboo out of talking money and we say yes to our desires, and each week, I'll be bringing you a dose of money mindset and relatable life stories so you can go out into the world and live your best freaking life. Let's do this rich woman. Okay, let's dive into it your money personality. So, money personality. Let me back up. I am a certified sacred money archetypes coach, which is a certification program through Kendall Summerhawk. She's been doing it for like I feel like definitely over a decade now, I'm pretty sure. Anywho, I found out about money personalities years ago, was fascinated, was so fascinated that I got the certification in it so that I could use it for myself and help out my clients. Now, since then, I've actually revamped it to simplify it, because she has eight money archetypes and there's a quiz that you take and blah, blah, blah, but I've actually simplified it to four money archetypes or four money personalities I call it.
Emily King:Now, why is money personality so important? So raise your hand if you feel like sometimes you're working against yourself and or in terms of how you're building your business, how you're growing your income, and or you feel like other people have money figured out better than you, us have a money personality or multiple components of money personalities, just like if you've taken any other personality quiz, you know you might be. If it's like there was one I learned about a few years ago. I forget the name of it now, but it was different colors. It was red, blue, yellow and green and it was like you could be, you know 50% blue, 20% yellow, maybe 10% red and whatever percentage of that left for the other one. So it's not that you're like all or nothing for the rest, but you may have one that's really like strong for you and the others are less your personality. Or when people do money personality tests, sometimes they're kind of even, which gives you a little taste of all of them and gives you strengths and challenges of all of them, which is not good or bad, it just is. So, yeah, knowing your money personality.
Emily King:For me it was eye-opening, not only from a personal standpoint, because I realized that the way my husband's brain works around money and the way my brain works around money are literally polar opposites. So now we can speak the same language. Versus I was speaking Spanish to him, he was speaking French to me and it was like we were butting heads because we had completely different outlooks on money and instead of going at it begrudgingly like, oh, he doesn't understand me, or why, you know, why can't we come to terms on this, or you know why doesn't he support me, blah, blah, blah, it was like, oh, he's speaking French. So now we either need to both learn the same language or I need to learn how to speak French Right, so to speak. So I learned his language Right and I learned how to have conversations with him in a way that wouldn't end up in reactive arguments or that kind of thing, and in a way that was understanding and in a way that we both were having our needs met.
Emily King:Or if you're sitting out there and you don't have a partner in your life that you share money with or have money intertwined with them, it could be a family member that has these judgments on you, or vice versa. Maybe you're having judgments on a family member or a friend or what have you. But here's the beautiful thing is that all of us have incredible gifts with our money personality, every single one, and we're going to get into it. And there's things to look out for, depending on your money personality, to enhance it and make life easier, versus fighting against yourself and feeling like you need to do it, like so-and-so, because they seem to have their money stuff together and you don't, or whatever. Okay, so we're going to start with the saver, whatever. Okay, so we're going to start with the saver, like S-A-V-E-R the saver, and I'm going to explain components of it. Maybe you'll resonate with all of them. Maybe you'll resonate with some. Just because I'll say these are components of it doesn't mean if you are a saver you have to have every single one. It's just like these typically tend to be the aspects of a saver. Okay, so this is personality number one, and let me know in the comments when I, when I share about it, if you're like oh, that's totally me. So we're going to rate it on a scale from one to 10, like one, okay, I do not resonate with this one at all. Or five, like you were. You were describing me to a T, okay, so in just a minute you'll let me know where you are on that on that scale.
Emily King:So the saver tends to be the penny pincher, tends to be the person that's can be tight with their money if they're in the more challenge or weakness. Of that personality trait. I already know I'm not a saver. Um, they love saving, like it makes them giddy. They're so excited about saving. They can be anxious, though, about never having enough money. Even if they have a lot of it, they can still be anxious about not having enough money, or like spending it and it never coming back. Debt tends to be a scary, hairy thing that they do not like to touch. They can be frugal and careful about their spending. But the benefits is they are like the inner banker. They are one who keeps an eye on the bills. They will watch every dollar and make sure they're not getting overcharged on something.
Emily King:I used to be a real heavy saver, but in the challenge of it hoarding, anxious, never spending my money, fearful and a lack mindset, even though in the challenge of it like hoarding, anxious, never spending my money, fearful and a lack mindset, even though I had lots of it still do, but I've used the gifts of it to help me now. So, for example, my husband is not a saver. No, he's not bad, but his natural tendency is not to be a saver. And the other day I was looking at our visa bill Because I'm the one who meticulously goes through and makes sure okay, is everything kosher here, we didn't get charged extra on something and I go through.
Emily King:And my husband was in Nashville a few weeks ago or last month For a trip and I see there was a $2,300 charge on our credit card that day, like it was June 26th. I remember it was June 26th and I was like why the heck did we get charged for a hotel in Nashville on June 26th, when he's been gone from there for three weeks, for 2,300 bucks. So anyways, I don't know if it was a scam or what, or someone trying to, you know, get money out of us at the hotel. But we called them and was like we've already been charged and you just tried to charge us another $2,300. So, like, can we clear that up? And they're like, oh, sorry about that. And blah, blah, blah, and they had it removed.
Emily King:But like that's the benefit of the saver, right? They look at these things, they make the phone calls, they have those conversations, whereas you know somebody who's not a saver might not. So, with all these money personalities, what I am going to do for you guys is also give you tips and tricks around it and how you can support yourself better with that money personality. So, as business owners, how does this impact you as a saver, if you are living in the shadow of the saver, living in those qualities that don't support you?
Emily King:Of the saver, here's a few things A or one you might not be hiring help because you're scared about paying someone. What if you run out of money? You know you should be saving your money. Maybe that's going to be a waste of money. If you hire someone, two paying or investing in programs, coaching, what have? You may feel like pulling teeth to you. So you're not investing in things that can greatly expedite your growth, because you just see it as a cost versus an investment. Okay, so that's an aspect of the saver, and you're in fear of like, what if it doesn't work out? What if it turns out to be a waste of money? And then, last but not least, you're not enjoying yourself with your money. Right, you're not having any fun because everything is such like a heavy decision when you're a saver. Okay, so is that resonating? Let me know.
Emily King:So here's a mindset shift that I want you to digest. Now is cheap, may save you money, but it doesn't always save you time, and your time is valuable. Your time is worth something, right? So, for example, because I used to be such a saver and such in the shadow side of the saver I used to be such a saver and such in the shadow side of the saver like I would never think about hiring a cleaner or hiring a babysitter or whatever, because it's like, well, like I can figure, I can. Just, I can clean the house I can clean. If I can do it myself, why am I going to hire someone to do that for me? Well, no, because you know I hire a cleaner. They come every two weeks. I pay him 80 bucks and they're here for I don't know, probably two hours. I can make more than $80 in two hours working on my business. Right, you got to look at the cost benefit analysis and not see everything just as a cost.
Emily King:So here are some tips. I'm going to give you some tips, some actionable tips, if you're a saver, and I'm going to give you some affirmations and things to watch out for if you're saying it. Okay. So tips Number one give yourself permission to spend and start small right, it could be upgrading, and I remember I used to go to movies and I would never get the popcorn because I'm like popcorn that's outrageous, like that's too expensive. Start small, right, with a little $10, $20 purchase, maybe that you would never let yourself upgrade. Maybe, if you're getting a flight somewhere, you pay the $50 to select a seat that you actually want or gives you more leg room, or what have you right?
Emily King:So start with the small incremental spending to really calm your nervous system, because this is that this is some deep shit, some of this stuff where it's like a real root nervous system issue that needs to be healed or worked on or processed, where you're reprogram, reprogramming your brain to go, it's safe. We don't have to freak out, okay. So, one, give yourself to self-permission to spend. Two, let other people help you so you can hire help. It doesn't matter if you have a business or not. This can apply to a cleaner, food delivery, a babysitter, an accountant, what have you. And maybe you just do a one-off, maybe you just hire a cleaner once, right, just to experience what it's like to give yourself that time back and see that you don't have to do everything just to save a buck.
Emily King:Last but not least, the third tip I'm going to give you is to bless your bills. This can be a huge game changer for savers, because we see bills as like the demon, as like, oh, like this expense and more money going out, and like, oh my God, cell phone bills are so expensive these days, or whatever, like the price of gas or what have you, and we're just like complaining. But if you can learn to bless your bills and really see the beauty of it, the gratitude of it like thank God you have a heat and light bill, because if you didn't, you probably wouldn't have heat and light, right, unless you were living with someone who's paying for it. But you get what I'm saying, right, like I'm glad I have a heat and light bill Because that means I have heat on in my house, that means I have lights on, that means I get to do my work from home. You know all that kind of stuff. So bless your bills.
Emily King:Now here's some things I want you to be mindful of saying. These are like classic saver sayings One is I can't afford it. Two, it was a waste of money. And three one step forward, two steps back, right, always feeling like you're not getting ahead, right. So here's some affirmations to start saying, to embrace, and you can write down whatever ones resonate with you.
Emily King:One it's safe for me to spend my money. It's safe for me to spend my money. Two, I trust myself Really. Having that trust within yourself to know it's okay for you to make that purchase, even if you don't need it, the saver brain will want to overanalyze every purchase. It's okay for you to make that purchase right, even if you don't need it, right. The saver brain will want to overanalyze every purchase. Do I actually need this? Well, I already have a pair of shoes like that. I don't need another pair. Like you know, I trust myself. Three it feels good to invest in me. Okay, it feels good to invest in me. And four, my time is valuable. My time is valuable. Okay, how is that landing? So that's the saver. That's the saver. Next is the savior s-a-v-i-o-u-r. So the savior.
Emily King:They tend to be annoyed that they have to deal with money. To begin with, they're like why do we have to deal with this money stuff? Like, why can't we all just be doing what we want to do and not have to worry about money? Right, but newsflash, money will always exist, whether it be Bitcoin or what. There needs to be a form of exchange. Right Back in the day, they would change a chicken for you know, a cow or what have you, and some milk. Now we've made it easy with the currency, right? So, yeah, there are no way that they have to deal with money. Their motivation is altruistic in nature, right, like it comes from a very good place, not that the others don't, not that the saver doesn't have this, but this is just. You know, generally speaking about the savior.
Emily King:They're attracted to unconventional ways of making money. They're great at idea generation, right, oh, we could do this, we could do that, blah, blah, blah. I have a friend who is the best at creative ideas, however sometimes. But she also doesn't give a shit about money. She's she's not a good money manager in business and because she doesn't care about it, she just wants to do the idea, she just wants to run with it and just money magically show up to support it, right, um, but here's the thing is, because they can get these creative ideas and because they're following the feel good, they can become good starters, but not good finishers. Okay, you care about movements more than money, um, and you wish that, and sometimes this is very this is very prominent where, like, in fact, this friend, her husband is like the one who takes care of the money stuff. Right, they would prefer other people to take care of the money.
Emily King:Okay, so where do you feel um? You are on on in the savior aspect. One to five. One, not at all a savior, five, totally totally me. So here's where you can subconsciously block yourself as a savior If you're a savior is and these are so important to get um and to do the inner work on. Okay, isabel says she thinks that she's at one with the savior. Okay, interesting, and I think you said you were.
Emily King:Two, on saver, yours is coming up, isabel. So here's the thing they can subconsciously block themselves. One they feel bad making great money because they have this feeling like it. So here's the thing they can subconsciously block themselves. One they feel bad making great money because they have this feeling like it's not about the money. I don't want this to be at the money. I don't like how we're making all this. Well, maybe they enjoy, but it's just like they have this inner turmoil of like shit, we're making a lot of money. They kind of feel bad.
Emily King:Two sometimes they can justify keeping their business small because they don't want it to be about the money, so they don't want to have all this money flowing in. So, whilst they have an amazing product, gift, service, whatever it may be, they keep themselves small because of this fear of making too much and being too much and having too much, because that's unfair. You know there's other people out there who need it, so they think. Three, selling can make them uncomfortable because it's money related, you know, even though they know they have an awesome product or service or what have you, it's like, okay, let's, can someone else do the selling for me? Right. And last but not least, if you could just give it all away for free, they would Right, like they're always doing giveaways, or like over delivering or giving away too much, for you know, asking too little, and there's, yeah, they're putting themselves last.
Emily King:Okay, so here's the tips, and then, once again, I'm going to give some mantras for you guys, for the saviors. All right, one this is key, this is key. The fortune is in the follow through. The fortune is in the follow through. The fortune is in the follow through. Lean into the discomfort that comes with following through something and get curious about that discomfort. You know what's going on there. Don't just like back away oh, you know I got bored of this thing or whatever. No, get curious. Why, all of a sudden, did you have this like huge spark of energy and excitement and now? Now, all of a sudden, you're like I'm done with that. Are you actually done with that? Or is that the self-sabotage coming up trying to keep you small, trying to get you to jump to the next project because it's scared of actually making money, right Two work on the belief that people love to pay you.
Emily King:People want to pay you. You're not taking anything from people. It's not bad if you're making money. People love to pay you. Okay, people love to pay me. People have happily paid me again and again and again.
Emily King:Right To work with me. Why? Because the work that I do is life-changing right and I know everyone might not have a life-changing product or service out there if everyone might not have a life-changing product or service out there. If you're selling I don't know pins Not that a pin can't be life-changing, but you know what I mean. But really understand, like my thing is of value.
Emily King:Right Three is to have an accountability buddy or a biz partner that is not this particular money personality, to hold you accountable to receive the money. So, for example, my business partner and I, gina, we have different money personalities and it works out well because we balance each other really well. Gina, you know, pulls, pulls different things out of me and vice versa, to really compliment and really have this beautiful whole wholeness, I guess, when it comes to our money right in our business. Lastly, remember that money is the oxygen to a business. It's there to support you and your business and it's not a selfish act. All right, sound good.
Emily King:So what are some mantras for you? Number one money amplifies the good I can do. Money amplifies the good I can do. Doesn't take away, doesn't make you mean greedy whatever. Money amplifies the good I can do. Two it's spiritual for you to be rich. Right, you say to yourself. It's spiritual for you to be rich, right, you save yourself. It's spiritual for me to be rich. Who loves that one?
Emily King:Three the more money I make, the more impact I can, I can have. I personally love that one because I would say I was a bit of like a two on a savior scale. I had this little bit of feeling of like, if somebody's paying me, like that's me taking something from them and I would feel bad and like, oh, like this better. We, you know, I really hope they get value, not that I didn't think they would, but like you know, like this pressure to ensure they got like a million times their investment and blah, blah, blah, but like really seeing it as this beautiful exchange. My abundance is their abundance and the more money I make, the more impact I have. It's spiritual for me to be rich and, last but not least, I make a massive impact and an income. Okay, massive impact and income, the two are not mutually exclusive. They can be together Best friends. Impact, income can be best buds, all right, so that's the savior.
Emily King:Let's move along to the spender. The spender, which I think some of you may relate to. I love spenders, I love them. The spender, charismatic, can easily network. They get pleasure out of spending money. They can tell themselves I deserve this, I work hard for my money, I deserve this, even if you know they're scraping by to. This is not saying it's for everyone, but even if they know it's putting themselves in a financially like tight position, they're like screw it, I deserve it. I'll figure it out later. Right, your image might not match your bank account, okay, so you might love luxurious things, you might love to have the things, and meanwhile the bank account's like can we put a pause on this? You're getting a little ahead of yourself.
Emily King:Here's an interesting thing for the spenders is sometimes they can be told to dim it down, right, maybe told they're too much, too flashy, too, whatever, and there's this sense of like, almost like shame of your desires because other people are saying that's too much or why do you need that. Or you know that kind of like feeling like, oh, like maybe I should just like play this down, or like dim my, dim my light a little bit, whether it be consciously or subconsciously, that you're doing it which we're going to talk about in just a second. Um, they might be saying either externally, like literally saying it, or just feeling it inside I'm not good with my money, you know they. And and maybe they joke about it we feel like, oh, I suck at my money, but like whatever. Or internally, like damn it, I'm not good with my money. Um, uh, definitely five. And yes, always being shamed. Yes, exactly. So that can hurt, right, that can hurt. And I got, I got a story to share with you guys in just a second. Um, sometimes they fall into the ignorance's bliss. You know they won't open their credit card statements. It's like I'll figure it out later, so there's not really a long-term plan. It's just kind of like flying by the seat of their pants type thing. And then, last but not least, sometimes, if they know they need to meet a goal, like say there's a girls' trip, they want to go on, and they don't have the money for it right now. Or say there's a new laptop they want to purchase, for whatever reason is, they will like work in bursts to make that happen, and then they'll take their foot off the gas, kind of thing. So here's the thing especially about like the dimming the light, the playing it small, the pretending like, okay, I don't actually want that thing, like that man who needs that first class ticket. You know that's a little too much. I want you to know that your leadership and your desire to shine is going to help so many of us raise our standards for ourselves and inspire us.
Emily King:One of the first coaches I ever worked with back in 2015,. The program was called 90 Days to 6K, so it was like we were all newbie coaches. She was showing us how to make 6K in 90 days. But what I loved about the program spoiler alert, I did not hit that goal in the 90 days. Spoiler alert, I did not hit that goal in this in the 90 days.
Emily King:Um, what I loved about the program was how much she expanded us to show us what was possible, to show us our desires to travel the world, to retire our husbands if we so desire, to make even six figures a month, to do whatever. Um didn't make us selfish, didn't make us greedy. Didn't make us selfish, didn't make us greedy, didn't make us self-centered, just meant that it was desires wanting to express itself through us, and she was a leading example of it. She was traveling every few months. She hit a million dollars in her business in a very short amount of time. She was upgrading, buying different things and this doesn't mean you need to go out and buy all the things but she was experiencing life in a way that I think many people would have judgment on, and she was doing so unapologetically.
Emily King:And that was such an inspiration for me and I truly believe that I would not be sitting here doing what I'm doing, having the life that I'm having, the lifestyle that I'm having, had I not been in that energy and been given this unconscious permission slip to have it all without feeling like that's too much. So those of you out there who've been told you're too much or that's too much to ask for, or shut up and sit down, get the hell up. Keep shining, because we need your light, we need you to keep inspiring us. That's what you're here to do. So keep going, okay.
Emily King:So tips here's some actionable tips for you. One I want you to ask yourself the question are there any areas of my life that I've been playing small to please others? Whose opinion do I need to let go of to embrace my full self? Whose opinion do you need to let go of to embrace your full self? I'm not saying you have to let go of it, but just if you could let go of someone's opinion, how would that liberate you? How would that feel to let go of their opinion? And just tapping into that possibility is going to start to move the needle. It's going to start to change the dial, so to speak.
Emily King:Two start automatic savings, because the spender is naturally not going to want to save, right. So set something up so it's automatically done for you, you don't have to think about it, and ideally something that you can't touch, you know. So, for example, in Canada we have GICs which are like you have to leave the money in there for a certain amount of time and it'll accrue. You know it'll get some interest on it, you know you'll make some money off of it, but you're not allowed to touch it right. So that's good right, in a sense, if you have the ability to do that, maybe at your work. They have a retirement savings plan you can start contributing to, even if it's like a hundred bucks a month, just something to automatically do that for you and it just comes right off your check without you even seeing it, so it doesn't feel like you're giving something up each month.
Emily King:Right, okay, isabel, these questions hit hard. You feel it? Good, good, good, love that. Um, last but not least, three look at your bills. Look at your bills. Like I said earlier, I looked at my visa bill, found a $2,300 charge that shouldn't have been there. She gone.
Emily King:You will probably be shocked when you start looking at stuff what you can cancel, what you can save on, maybe what you got charged on by accident and not in a bad way, but what you're spending your money on and maybe going. Wait a minute, I don't value that. Like. I had a client once who, when we looked at it, she was like I'm spending $800 a month and she was a single woman $800 a month on takeout. She's like I do not value takeout that much to be spending $800 on it a month. Right, and that was not to shame herself or feel bad, it's just like it's empowering to go. I don't want to spend my money on that. So I'm going to be more aware now of how much I'm spending on takeout a month. So none of this especially looking at your bills, is coming from a place of judgment.
Emily King:That's key for the spenders, because the spenders can have a tendency to go A, I'm not looking at it, or B, if I look at it, I'm going to feel like shit. Go into it with the expectation of, like, I'm looking at this because I'm a money master, like, look at me, go Right, okay. So mantras to help you. And then we'll move on to the last money personality, which is the seer. S-e-e-r. The seer, s-e-e-r. The seer. Okay. So mantras for the spenders.
Emily King:One I'm getting better and better at money every day. Now, why I share that one is because to just go overnight and say I'm amazing with my money, your ego, the programming in your brain might go whoa, whoa, whoa, you're not good with your money. Who are you trying to kid here? So you can kind of segue it by saying I'm getting better and better at my money every day. So you're not saying I'm awesome, you're just saying every day I'm getting better, which you are. You're on this live stream, maybe you're listening to the podcast. You're getting better at it every day, okay.
Emily King:Two I love myself. Now that might seem like a weird one, because we're talking about money here. Why are we talking about loving myself? Because if you have been shamed, if you have been told that's too much if you've played small, it's going to be so amazing to look yourself in the mirror and say I love myself, I love you, this person in the mirror, I love you, I love myself.
Emily King:Embracing all of you is going to be key Three I forgive myself and love you. I love myself. Embracing all of you is going to be key Three I forgive myself and love myself. Right? Because once again, the shame, the judgment that I should have could have would have with my money. You know we got to release that. You can't change the past, but you can impact the future. So I forgive myself and I love myself. So I forgive myself and I love myself. Four I am exactly where I am meant to be. I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. And five saving is sexy. Saving is sexy. Okay, last but not least and any questions, by the way, guys, as we're going, let me know any comments. I love when we're getting it all coming in and there's engagement there. Last but not least, the seer S-E-E-R.
Emily King:So they are the rule breaker, the rebellion you resist, the tried and true. It's this attitude of you can't tell me what to do. You know, that's like I'm very much this year Uh, a big part of me is this year and so, um, I think that's why I rebelled against the nine to five Cause, like you can't tell me to go to a job from nine to five, like who, who the hell are you to tell me to do that? You know, um, they love the big risk, big reward. Hence why I also love real estate investing. It's a big investment, right, but it can also have a big reward.
Emily King:You're attracted to unconventional ideas, but sometimes we try to do everything ourselves. Hand up, guilty. Can be a workaholic, can be money or business obsessed, right, have a hard time turning it off, always chasing that next thing, like the ever-moving goalpost, right? The never enough Impatient. Want it yesterday. These are all things I work on, and business dominates most of your energy.
Emily King:Now that's shifted, since I've had a child and now I'm pregnant with my second one, but it was eye-opening and having a child and being like, oh, wow, like I would work in the evenings. I would work on the weekends? Not, and it was because I wanted to, I genuinely wanted to, right, okay, isabel's, maybe three or four with a C? Or where does everyone else see themselves with a C? Or five? Once again is like you're talking about me to a T One is no, not at all. And, last but not least, you're visionary and determined to succeed, right, okay.
Emily King:So let's talk about the thing to be aware of when you are this year this is a huge one to be aware of is the feeling of I work hard for my money and this feeling of it's not fair if you earn money great money and you haven't worked hard for it. So sometimes, with the seer passive income can feel uncomfortable, most of the time in an unconscious level. I know I had to deal with this a lot where the stuff that I was showing up live for, the stuff that I was doing like one on one with clients felt good to get paid for, right. Stuff where money would roll in when I was sleeping, the stuff where it was like passive courses, I would subconsciously block myself by A, never promoting it or talking about it, or, b, when I would talk about it or promote it, I would somehow weasel my way into doing a live component or adding something to it or, you know, making it more complicated than it needed to be right. I was resisting the ease around it because I felt like I hadn't worked hard enough for it.
Emily King:Quick little story that just came to mind is last year, myself and my business partner Gina, with our business shift, put off a program called the 21 Day Manifesting Mastery Program. It was, to date, the easiest program I have offered. What happened was for 21 days, we would alternate where we would go on for five, 10 minutes and give a message, give a lesson, a teaching that would support our clients in manifesting right and law of attraction. It was so easy. There was no Facebook group, there was no interaction with the clients, it was just us delivering the audio messages, and that was it. There was no live coaching, nothing. It was just a message. Each day messages, and that was it. There was no live coaching, nothing. It was just a message each day, 21 days, boom. And I think the program was 100 bucks or 200 bucks, something like that.
Emily King:We made thousands and thousands of dollars off this program and the two of us were both like oh my God, do you think they're getting value out of it? Do you think they're liking it? Maybe we should throw in a bonus call? Maybe we should blah, blah, blah. The universe kicked our butt by being like, would you shush and sit down and let yourself receive?
Emily King:Because we start the program, we start to get these self-sabotaging thoughts coming in of like, okay, we need to do it, because it felt like we weren't doing enough to be making this money. So, lo and behold, we start this program and within days, we start getting personal DMs, start getting emails from our clients loving it, saying how amazing it is, and not only that, but loving the simplicity of it and how easy it was to digest and actually take action on, because it wasn't like you know, we had a one hour call every day or you know anything like. It was so simple and easy to implement. They were getting results. Anyhow, we get to the end of the the program. They loved it. Many of them went on to sign with us uh, sign up for us with us in another program, because they loved it so much. They got amazing results. They loved the program. Emily King:So that was a lesson to me. And like it gets to be easy, it doesn't have to be complicated, right. So the the tip here is mastering grace and flow. Right, get very aware of the habits and the things you're doing to get yourself into burnout, get yourself into working for it, get yourself into feeling like you've justified the money that you're making. Okay, and it can be very sneaky, very, very sneaky, and I would say that a lot of the times it's hard to um figure it out yourself. Oftentimes it takes someone else to observe and go wait a minute. Why are you doing that? Why did you add in another call? Why did you decide to stay with a client late? Why did you decide to go like what's going on here? And you're like, oh, you know, it felt good and it's like, wow, right, okay, I see some hearts coming in, so this is resonating.
Emily King:Two joy jar, joy jar, joy jar. What do I mean by that Is? I have a jar where I literally put something like a joyful moment from my day in that jar. Why do I do this? Because, as the seer we are, go, go, go. We hit the goal onto the next thing. We really have to stop to smell the roses, right, and really anchor in. I'm like I love where I am. I am successful now, even without that thing that my ego is telling me I need to have, or the next client I need to get, or whatever.
Emily King:It might be Like really stopping to smell the roses, okay, um, and last but not least is kind of what we're talking about before is let it be easy. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel all the time to prove it. I don't know how many times I've tried to reinvent courses or revise them or revamp them or whatever, and then I go back to the original course. I'm like this was Like in its original form. I didn't need to go in and revamp it and add in this or that, or blah, blah, blah, like. So a question to ask yourself and I love this question is how can I let it be so easy? It's uncomfortable. How can I let it be so easy? It's uncomfortable. And the example I gave you of last summer when I did the 21 day manifesting mastery program that was so easy, it was uncomfortable, right? So in that case, the answer is like I can let the audio trainings be enough and know that my work is enough. Know that I am enough, know that my work is worthy, know that my clients get incredible results, even if I'm not handholding right. I only got two hands, so I want to impact the world. I can't do it if I'm trying to handle everyone right. So, mantras, and then we'll wrap up. Ooh, I forgot to tell you guys. I have a prize giveaway. Prize giveaway. Emily King:Mantras One I slow down to slow the F down. There's this saying out there. I used to say I slow down to speed up. Right, it's like, okay, I'm going to give myself this rest because I know when I rest, then when I go back into it, I'm gonna be like so creative, so boom, boom, boom on. Can we just slow down to allow ourselves to slow the F down, without the ulterior motive of okay, but I'm only slowing down because I know when I get back at it I'm gonna speed up. Can we just slow down and let that be enough?
Emily King:Two when I'm in a rush, I take my time. When I'm in a rush, I take my time. Three this is big. What's meant for me will not pass me by. Okay, what's meant for me will not pass me by.
Emily King:Four, rest is productive. And, last but not least, five, easy money feels really good. Easy money feels really good, that one can be like a easy money. What are we talking about here? I'm like easy money. Easy money feels really good.
