Speaker 1:

Hello, hello, welcome back to the Money and Miracles podcast. Okay, first of all, I have to share the best news ever and I have you to thank for this. So the other day, my friend, christina, that I met at the Arizona event, actually last month, she sends me a DM and she had a screenshot there showing that I was number 91 in top entrepreneur podcasts, like across the world on Apple podcasts. I was like what? So she's like congrats on being, you know, number 91. So, guys, we put this podcast in the top 100 podcasts in the world. Well, I guess for Apple, for entrepreneurship, which is huge, like that's a huge category shared in space, with spaces like Marie Forleo and Jasmine Starr and incredible people that I look up to. So, thank you, thank you, thank you. And I just want to shout out to a couple of the people that I saw left reviews lately, like Val, thank you very much. And I hosted a vision board workshop in person a couple weeks ago now, or last week, and I want to shout out Amy and Nicole, who both came up to me at the workshop and said that you listen to the podcast and you love it. So hello and thank you for listening. So thank you guys, so much it like it just warms my heart and I'm just so, so grateful and let's keep this podcast growing.

Speaker 1:

And actually this isn't this isn't the um, the intention of the podcast today. We have a different theme we're going to be talking about on the podcast today. But just so you know, like in full transparency, there's some days where I'm like is this podcast like reaching anyone? Like does anyone even care? You know, like kind of getting the womp, womp, kind of headspace, which is totally normal. So I feel like the universe gave me that little tap on the shoulder, being like you're doing a good job, girl, with that top 100 thing, and so this is your sign that if you're out there thinking like have I really got what it takes, does anyone care? Should I keep going? Whatever it is, keep freaking, going Like trust me, take this as your sign, keep going, okay, all right, well, let's do this.

Speaker 1:

So today's episode is all about the success bridge, which I'm really excited to talk about because it's so easy and so helpful in getting you to that next step, that next level, so to speak, with your success, with your growth. So let's do this. Hello and welcome to the Money and Miracles podcast with me, Emily King. We call ourselves Rich Women over here because we are all about living the rich woman life inside and out. We take the taboo out of talking money and we say yes to our desires. And each week, I'll be bringing you a dose of money, mindset and relatable life stories so you can go out into the world and live your best freaking life. Let's do this Rich Woman and live your best freaking life. Let's do this rich woman.

Speaker 1:

All right, so what is the success bridge? Well, lately I've been sharing this with a few of my private clients because, you know, obviously, working with my private clients, I want to help them get as much growth as possible and a really practical tip is to follow the success bridge. So what am I talking about? You've probably heard about acting as if you know, like showing up with the same energy, the same confidence, the same whatever, as if you already have the thing you know, as if you're already the top paid speaker in the world, as if you already are, you know, top of your company. Showing up in that energy, which is all wonderful, and we know how to access that, you know. Ish. Sometimes it's easier said than done, but I think the concept is fairly easy to understand, but here's a more practical application. Not that the energy part isn't you guys know that I love energy stuff but the success bridge is when you ask yourself, on two sides of things One, do I have the boundaries of the person I envision, of the person I desire to be, of the person that I am becoming, you know, evolving and being more of? And two, what's the gap between where I am now and where I desire to be in terms of systems, structures, habits? So I'll give you a couple examples just to make it a bit more tangible for you.

Speaker 1:

No-transcript 100k year in my business. I felt like a million bucks, like, as you would right, rightfully so. I felt incredible. It felt like it was a huge milestone that I had wanted to hit for years and so finally hitting it was like a huge up level and I knew I wanted to keep going. So I remember it was the end of the year and I asked myself the question if I was running a million dollar business, what would I be doing differently and instantly especially being the end of the year where, you know, tax season's coming up, all that kind of stuff Instantly I knew I will not be doing my own bookkeeping and my own taxes.

Speaker 1:

My own bookkeeping and my own taxes Like when I'm running a million dollar business, I will have a bookkeeper doing all that stuff, telling me what they need from me and like keeping my hands out of it. Not that I'm not going to keep, you know, my eye on the numbers but definitely wouldn't be running my business the way I had been, like every month going through all my receipts business the way I had been, like every month going through all my receipts, putting it all in an Excel sheet, labeling it all myself. Like that took a lot of time and effort and mental energy, because I'm sure many of you can relate where, like tax stuff and receipts and invoices and all that kind of stuff just takes up such mental capacity right. So instantly, like literally right away, I knew if I was running a million dollar business I would have an accountant and I would be incorporated. So that minute, like I'm not even kidding, it wasn't like, oh, I sat on it, like that minute that that came to me, I emailed an accountant and I was like, hey, can we set up a meeting so I can get incorporated in the new year and get a quote from you guys to do my monthly bookkeeping Boom and I haven't looked back since. Right, it's the best money that I spend hands down in my business is on my bookkeeper and accountant every year. Like just the relief and the freedom that comes with that is invaluable. And just knowing like somebody who knows their shit with that is on top of it for me, you know. So that's one example.

Speaker 1:

So for me, that like next level me was I call her the million dollar me. So for you, who is that next level version of you? What would you name her and ask yourself, what's the gap to who I am being now and who that version of me is Now? Let's talk about it from a belief standpoint. Now, let's talk about it from a belief standpoint.

Speaker 1:

The beliefs of that million dollar me and the beliefs of who I was at the time were different, Not radically different, because one thing that I don't want you to confuse as you're listening to this podcast is that you're not enough. You need to have a million followers on Instagram. You need to be showing up every enough. You need to be, you know, have a million followers on Instagram. You need to be showing up every day. You need to write 10 emails a week Like no, take off the pressure of yourself and know that you are enough as it is and this is not. You need to change to be successful.

Speaker 1:

This is just checking in on how can I evolve. Checking in on how can I evolve like healthy striving. We'll call it versus. I'm not enough. I got to do better. So let's just clear that up. But the next thing that I realized and even to this day it's something. Well, I mean, the work is never done. I'm still tapping into these questions and this tuning in.

Speaker 1:

But the next question or the next thing I reflected on was, for example, like the million dollar me, when she sends out an email and does a podcast, how does that feel? What are her beliefs? And every now and then, still to this day, it pops up of like oh, does anyone even care about my emails? Or like, are they just going to like hit delete or hit unsubscribe and listen, no offense if anyone unsubscribes. There's people that I love out there, that I adore their work and I unsubscribe just because I like to have a clean inbox. You know, as I feel like a lot of us do so past me, would worry about those things and let that be at the forefront. Million dollar me. She is like you're welcome for getting my email, you're welcome for this podcast.

Speaker 1:

She thinks of the people just dying to hit play, dying to open her email, because they just love her content, they love the value they get, an aha moment, they share it out with their friends. So do you see how the inner belief system is different than previous me? So check in with yourself on that next level, you what like simple tweak can you make and apply it like practically to something simple? Maybe I don't know, maybe there's a meeting that you have coming up and you know that maybe normally you might play small a little bit or not feel as confident or think like oh my God, I hope they like this or I hope they buy or whatever, and just practice with like on a case by case basis, if you will. It really simplifies it and really gives you those wins that start to add up right. So there's that.

Speaker 1:

And then, last but not least, is to look at boundaries. I feel like it's often overlooked in the act, as if and law of attraction world is this whole topic of boundaries. Boundaries is huge when you are growing, when you are up leveling, boundaries is huge when you are growing, when you are up leveling and I think boundaries is probably one of the hardest things that I see my clients struggle with Like hands down Boundaries with clients, boundaries with family members, boundaries with their loved ones, boundaries with their calendar, all sorts of boundaries. So what off the top of your head is a boundary that doesn't match the next level version of you. Maybe you go overtime in your client sessions, if you're a service-based provider. Maybe you let people pay late, right? Maybe you let someone else dictate your calendar, and what I mean by that is I don't know. Maybe your mother-in-law invites you over every Sunday for dinner and you're like you know what, I love you mother-in-law, but it's inconvenient for me to come over every Sunday for dinner. Like, maybe you switch it to every second week and even as I'm saying that now my mother-in-law doesn't do that, I love her. I'm like not offended that she doesn't do that, I'm just saying like having those boundaries.

Speaker 1:

For example, actually I was invited out tomorrow for like dinner, I guess you could say, but it was at four o'clock. I'm like who? Who eats at four o'clock? Anyhow, another topic, um, and I was going to like change around my day and try to make it work, and I was just like no, like it's not worth it to me to screw up my day to go to this dinner, you know. So just checking in with, where are you? Where are you trying to accommodate others when you should be accommodating yourself first, which I know for some of you guys, listening might be like I can't do that, but just pick one little thing Like this is not a blanket. You have to do this overnight. Everything needs to change. You know, one of my favorite sayings is think big, do small and my business shift. That I co-founded with Gina.

Speaker 1:

One of our fundamental principles of how, or like how, we work with our clients and what we teach is to make these small shifts small shifts lead to big changes right. We think that it's big shifts lead to big changes and, on the rare case that can happen, we're like you know you wake up one morning you're like, screw this, I'm quitting my job, right. Or like, screw this, I'm moving out of the country. Like there's these big, drastic, pivotal moments in your life, but that's, that's not the norm, right, how we change our lives is making these small shifts daily, be it through your habits or your boundaries, or just your internal work, and one day you wake up and you're like, oh my God, like I'm here, right. So that's what I wanted to share with you today.

Speaker 1:

And coming back to this whole principle, like I was talking about, which is the success bridge, so think of this not as the gap of like I'm not there, I have so much left to do and be, and blah, blah, blah. So much left to do and be and blah, blah, blah. But this is the opportunity for you now to move forward, cross that bridge and get to that next level for yourself, and I'm so excited for you. And if you want more support with this, maybe your next step for you is coming to my biggest event of the year, which is the Shift event, happening on Saturday, september 28th.
